Checked out Wanapum dam state park this morning for migrants. Nothing really
rare but a few notables list below. Seemed to be a good morning for
Thrushes. It turned quite windy by 9 am.
1 imm GOSHAWK-in the trees in the day use area
1 Varied Thrush
7 Hermit Thrush
5 Townsend's Solitaire
1 Winter Wren
Few warblers left, mostly Yellow-rumped (45-50) and 1 Townsend's.
Kinglets were plentiful, with 25-30 Ruby-crowned and 10-15 Golden-crowned
along with 6 Red-breasted Nuthatches.
Still good movements of American Pipits all along Huntzinger road.
Nothing notable on the river except good numbers of California Gulls below
the dam.
