My first returning Fox Sparrow found my yard about 2
weeks ago. About the exact same time the
White-crowned and Gold-Crowned Sparrows reutned as
well. I had not seen any of these Spoarrows in my
yard since about April.
We also saw Fox Sparrows, GC Sparrow, and WC Sparrow
at Bottle Beach (and Midway Beach, and elsewhere)
last saturday during the WOS field trip. I do not
recall seeing them just a couple of weeks ago on the
coast.
