On the last 2 nights we have heard what we think are calls from a pair
of Barred Owls in the Green Cove Basin on Cooper Point just north of
Olympia. The calls are somewhat like barks and seem to be coordinated
between the pair. We've done some reading and on-line searching but
haven't found a clear explanation for this type of call at this time of
year. Any Barred Owl specialists out there who can interpret this
behavior?
