Got a quick but satisfactory bino view of the bobbin' Northern Waterthrush
on Fir Island. It didn't hold still for a picture. Happy Lifer #1. If you
go try to find this nice bird, listen for a distinct loud "chip" call as it
flies. It almost sounds like a squirrel alarm call. It tended to chase
other birds quite a bit when we saw it about a 1/2? mile down the dike.

Later at Port Susan Bay I got several shots from among the 4 Sharp-tailed

With the sun shining in my face, I was thinking it was a Song Sparrow when I
snapped this before he took off to points unknown. There were several
Savannahs around, but this seems more Lincoln-esque.
