I spotted one Osprey yesterday afternoon flying towards the marina from the
Bainbridge/Seattle Ferry.

Subject: [Tweeters] Local Ospreys' last day in Seattle?

About 11 days or so ago I last noted an Osprey on its nest just south of the
West Seattle Bridge and east of hwy 99. Each day I saw one there I said to
myself "Ospreys still here". I hoped I'd remember each date they were still
here until I stopped seeing Osprey in the Seattle area. I almost
remembered, but it is always hard to tell what is the last day a bird or
other organism is being seen in a season, and much easier to note the first
day of a season.

Anyone have a better documented date for the last sighting of our summer
Ospreys? I imagine there may still be Ospreys that will be migrating
through from further north, but much less likely to perch on that nest.
