Hi Tweeters and Jennifer,

Thanks for the message about the Surfbirds. I saw a
flock of approximately 40 Surfbirds and about a dozen
Black Turnstones in the area you described. It is in
the 1100 block of the main drag at Alki. In the 1700
block I saw two leucistic American Crows. They were
very interesting. On both the flight feathers were
"muddied" with white. On one crow the upper coverts
had quite a bit of white on them. At the last beach
on Alki where the Harlequin ducks and Brandt
traditionally are, I saw 5 Harleqins (no Brandt yet)
and a flock of about 25 Sanderlings. Also Red-necked
and Western Grebe. Nice morning to get out there.
