Subject: [Tweeters] Some guidance

Hey tweets, "Almost human" (see post below) raises an issue about what we
should be posting to tweeters. I would like to know, both from the
listmaster and perhaps from any of you, what our guidelines should be in
this regard. I think of tweeters as a community of birders, and I think, as
a community, we should decide what kind of a forum tweeters should be. -

Subject: Why is it ok for you?

Hello,
I will make this short, since I don't believe people like you listen to
anyone You just like to hear yourself pontificate! But really enough is
enough! You have been posting for a long time now and most every post has to
always come with some sort of social observation or opinion off topic of one
kind or another. Then, of course, at the end of this massive mess is the
list of birds. So, I assume, in your mind you think it is perfectly ok to
use Tweeters as you own personal blog site. Now (your last post) you don't
even list bird - you just think it OK to write the fact that you know you
are posting off topic and then apologize as if that is all you need to do!
So my question is WHY? Why do you think it ok to do this?. Whether or not
anyone likes or dislikes your opinions is not important (although, I'm sure
you can guess mine). If you need to do this type of thing PLEASE START YOU
OWN BLOG!!!
Just think how clogged up Tweeters would be if EVERYONE on this site went
off topic all the time just because they also felt their opinion on any
given subject just needs to be heard be everyone regardless of the rules
that are in place to stop just that type of activity.

So again why don't you please start a blog. You can even announce it as a
"birders blog". Just please can we have Tweeters back...

I'm sorry you are way out of line with this post as a Tweeters post!

PS... I do not need to hear back from you on this matter by the way, I'm not
interested in your "excuses".
