Thumbs up for Connie and for relatively liberal guidelines on what's allowed on Tweeters. I don't always have time to read all of Connie's messages, but I like their spirit, with reflections on enjoyment of nature and on the meaning of birding and nature in our lives. I'd much rather read a note like that than another ho-hum note about finding another Scrub-Jay in Seattle. There are clearly topics too far removed from birds and birding that we have to avoid; for instance, Birdchat recently had a flurry of messages about evolution, creationism, and science that got quite heated, and the listowners had to post a note reminding everyone that that's not appropriate and to please stop. But they also reminded everyone that it's very easy to press Delete for anything that doesn't interest you, so that messages to individuals that say "I'm tired of reading your messages about . . ." aren't necessary or appropriate. So please, Connie, keep us up to date on the Fill and use your own good judgement about what might be of general interest.
