Hello Tweeters,
I make a regular habit of checking out what birds are at Wallace Swamp
Creek Park in Kenmore, WA. Today I watched a male and female Golden
crown Kinglets having what looked like a lovers quarrel. Actually it
looked pretty serious maybe they are going to file for divorce. Both of
them had their crests flared. Neon bright , looking like shiny pom-poms
on top of their heads. They tumbled, wrestled, and chased each other from
branch to branch all the while making quite a racket. If it were spring I
would think this was part of their mating ritual but does any one know
why they would act this way in September?
