Tweets,

On Thursday Dave Annonen and I "worked" to find at least one BAR-TAILED and
HUDSONIAN GODWIT at high tide at Bill's Spit (as per previous reports). I'm
still drying out, as we endured 4 hours of winds 20-40mph with horizontal
rains and mist. At least we had the place to ourselves! There were many
birds around that we simply could not "see" in those conditions. Fair
numbers of Least, Western, and Pectoral (~8) Sandpipers (base of Damon Pt),
but no Sharp-tailed or Baird's or golden-plovers were evident and finally we
gave up trying. One calling bird sounded suspiciously like a Palm Warbler
but could not be located (near the entrance to Peninsula Ct, not far from
Bill's Spit and the access trail, as reported by Denny Granstrand).
Good birding!
