Tell your friends to bring binos and a scope to Legion Park in Everett,
set up their tripod a safe distance from the bluff, look towards the
water in every direction but east and scan the pilings for nests and the
air for flying birds. Legion Park overlooks the Snohomish River estuary
and man-made Jetty Island and Port Gardner / Possession Sound / Puget
Sound from the south and east. Head North on I-5 to Marine View Drive
exit and follow it north and west to Legion Park at the extreme NW of
the City. I'm not up to date, but there are what? 20 plus nest sites,
50 or so Osprey, many Bald Eagles, Cormorants, G B Herons, waterfowl,
etc. There is a hard-to-miss long- established nest very visible on
pilings within a quarter mile or so wnw of the bluff. Legion Park has
parking, sunshine (in season), great views and you can eat your lunch at
a picnic table as the Ospreys eat theirs.

Could someone please post Osprey nest locations and sightings near
Everett? We live in the Renton area but have friends near Everett. We
would like to share places for them to look. Off list would be OK but on
list might be better for new members to become aware of them as well.

Please note whether the nest is on a tree or cell tower.
