Saturday I spent 5 hours in the pouring rain (I should have known better on
April Fool's Day) in the Moxee area looking for the Eurasian Collared Dove.
Around 10:30 AM I had real good looks at a Ringed Turtle Dove (be aware of
the differance if you're going to chase this bird). Then at 1:30 PM I got a
quick look at another dove that looked different but didn't give me any
definitive look as it flew by. I hung around until 2:00 PM but no luck.

Today I had a meeting scheduled in Yakima at 2:00 PM so I took an early
lunch and stopped in Moxee to look for the EUCD and was rewarded for the
extra effort with a good 15 minute close look at the EUCD.

The RITD was lighter and had buffy but not very dark primaries, and white
undertail and coverts, while the EUCD was browner overall and had very dark
primaries and gray coverts. The EUCD was also much more skittish than the
RITD.
