Subject: [Tweeters] Moral Dilemma: The Answer

The shortened version is that I don?t have to do anything and not feel
guilty. Last night at 8:30 when I went to check on the nest, she responded
to my calls from the nest, and then a second bird (assumed mate), took the
dinner entr?e of the post as she was calling. I later saw the both of them
together, and I am confident that it was not her mate that was killed 1600
feet from the nest.
Thank you for your responses. Interestingly, I had 25 responses, none of
which were public. Over half voted for intervention, while 20% offered
moral support for whatever decision was made. Since I know some of you
personally, and many of you through Tweeters, I can say that generally, the
scientists out there, about a quarter of my responses, as a group voted to
let nature take its course.
I am thankful that I didn?t have to make a decision.
