Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday April 6. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On April 4 a EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE was at Union in the Grande Ronde Valley.
A BLUE JAY was seen April 1 in LaGrande. On April 3 an adult YELLOW-BILLED
LOON was at Yaquina Bay. The BRAMBLING continues to be seen at 620 Main
Street in Monmouth. The Meares Lake TUFTED DUCK is still being seen, as is
the SNOWY OWL north of Condon. On April 2 a MANX SHEARWATER was seen off
Boiler Bay.

Many first of year migrants arrived during the week including CLIFF, BARN,
and ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS and COMMON YELLOWTHROATS. On April 1
WHITE-THROATED SWIFTS were at Smith Rocks State Park.

A colony of MONK PARAKEETS is now being watched in Vancouver. A flock was
seen March 28 north of Scappoose. On March 30 a VESPER SPARROW was found at
the Sandy River Delta. A MOCKINGBIRD is now being seen at the Delta. A late
NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen April 3 at Powell Butte Park in Gresham.
