Hello All,
A number of us birding the Walla Walla River delta the late fall of 1983 noticed a number of Am. White Pelicans out on Badger Island. These birds wintered, but we could not determine if they were breeding that next spring. I believe the first confirmed breeding in the last forty years was the spring of 1994 by Scott Ackerman, John Annear, Al Sutlick and Carl Christianson on Crescent Island in the Columbia River off the Walla Walla River delta. See Washington Birds #3 and the WOS Newsletter #51 for specifics. Hope this helps.
Later Mike
