Subject: [Tweeters] update on Tenino Fox Sparrows

Tweets,
There have been at least 6 Fox Sparrows hanging around Mull Road near Tenino
in recent weeks. Of the 4 observed Friday 9-9:30am, one was the "red"--seen
off- and-on since December (likely the same individual as prior winter) and
previously seen Monday. I have not relocated the "uniform" "red"-looking
individual found on Monday. Directions: Half-mile east of Tenino via SR507;
left on Mull, past bridge. The overwintering "red" prefers the mowed areas
along the perpendicular fenceline on the left (west). The "new" individual
was seen just behind the 3rd/4th ash trees. Snipe, rails, woodpeckers,
kingfisher, puddle ducks, both herons, wrens, Red-tail and (yesterday)
Cooper's Hawk (gorgeous male), and (this morning) pipits are among the
variety present.
Good birding!
