I hope I'm in time for this week's BOTW.

An Anna's hummingbird made its nest in a tree in the courtyard of our
condominium this year, and we and our neighbors were able to watch the
process of turning sugar and insects into new hummingbird flesh, bone,
neurons and feathers. It was truly wonderful. Two eggs were laid and one
hatched and subsequently fledged. The fledgling stayed in the trees in our
courtyard for a number of days after it left the nest, and we got great
views of feeding and learning to fly. I made a web site about it -
