Tweets,

I spent the day Sunday with the Coeur d' Alene Audubon (Idaho) on their
field trip to Grant County and the Columbia NWR. While bird numbers were
generally low, we did have a few nice birds for the day.
An adult Golden-crowned Sparrow was viewed by all at the Columbia NWR on
the Riparian Trail along Crab Creek. An immature SNOW GOOSE was seen from
the Central Basin Audubon Nature Trail along Dodson Road.
Our first Swainson's Hawk of the year was observed along SR-262. This
striking dark-morph bird was a nice treat for the group as they are unusual
in Northern Idaho.
Black-necked Stilts offered their usual great looks at Birder's Corner. At
the North Potholes Reserve we watched the rookery and located Black-crowned
Night-Heron, Great Egret, Great Blue Heron, and many Double-crested
Cormorants. A single Red-tailed Hawk perched right in the rookery which
elicited some questions.
Large numbers of Yellow-rumped Warblers were observed during the day, all
were "Audubon's" with no "Myrtle's" observed.

Cheers
