I have followed this discussion with much interest. I am impressed with the
thoughtful and varied comments. I really have nothing to add, having no
special knowledge or expertise in these matters. One question does come to
mind, though, as I read and consider the comments. Does it matter what is
done about introduced species of plants unless something meaningful is done
about such things as deforestation, greenhouse gases, global warming and
glacier melt?
