Tweets,
just a couple of random notes on bird bahavior in my
yard:
Stellar's Jays are why my Native Dogwood tree does not
have many flowers. I watched a Jay eat a flower bud
off the tree this last weekend. The flower never even
had a chance to open before it got gobbled up whole!
I've noted that the chickadees (both species) will
come into the feeder while my dog is out in the yard,
but they were NOT around when I let him out. The
other (larger) birds will fly away when the dog is
out, but the chickadees have realized this, and they
actually come TO my yard when the dog is out, and the
other birds are away ;)
