Snowy owls at Damon Point on Sunday April 9 late afternoon perched on
beached logs, facing the setting sun--nice. Four adults and one darkly
barred individual. Five in all.

Tour notes: Going west, stop at the farmers market (not an eatery) in a
building east side of Hoquiam bridge: short bread cookies, Nancy's
wild-blackberry pie, honey by the gallon. Going home, go up the Wynooche
west of Montesano to Estrella Family Creamery (Saturday only). My hand is
scarred from fork battling with my mean sisters over a chunk of their cheese
served at a Seattle restaurant. And stop at Satsop Bulb Farm (affordable
bulbs and bouquets) east of Satsop until May 1st. Tell them, of course, you
are birding.
