Subject: [Tweeters] Pine Siskins

Last year in May-June, in a period of about two weeks, my
neighbor found twelve dead Siskins around her feeder - none showed predatory
marks. During the same period she noted several obviously sick birds.
This year she has had one at the feeder and I have had the
same count. Some years ago I would have ten at time.

Not long ago, someone else inquired about the lack of siskins this year. A
friend in Puyallup tells me that last year she had some but many were sick
and has had none this year. Has anyone come forward with any information?
We've had none at our feeders so far this year.
