Didn't get a close look, but about a week or 2 ago I saw the (presumed)
Mitred Conure (Parakeets ) at Seward Park in Seattle apparantly eating part
of the Cottonwood flowers or buds. Catkins, or parts thereof were dropping
as they fed. Last year I observed them eating the green Cottonwood fruits
later in the season.
