Hi tweets,

I made a morning check of Point no Point. Highlight bird was a Vesper
Sparrow. It was in the grassy/sandy area beyond the last waterfront house
across from the south lighthouse parking area. It was loosely associating
with a few Savannah Sparrows for good comparisons. I even had the pleasure
of listening to it sing a few times. One normally has to venture over to
Eastern Washington to hear its lovely song. Two Townsend's Solitaires were
still present along the road approaching the lighthouse. They seem to be
hanging out in close proximity to a small holly tree. No sign of any
kittiwake, but there are hundreds of Bonaparte's Gulls in the area. The
tides are good for mid-morning waterbird activity this weekend.

I made a check for the Yellow-billed Loon from the bluff in Suquamish but I
was unable to find it. I am not convinced it has left the are yet as there
still is good numbers of Common Loons still hanging out.

I had my first Barn Swallow of the year but I think it was turning around
and going back South. It is a little chilly!

Cheers,
