Today, Ann van der Geld and I took a turn around the Montlake Fill
(nothing unusual) and on the way back stopped at Log Boom Park to
check out the gourds. We thought at first there were early martins,
but all were tree and a few violet-green swallows. Some were even
inspecting the gourds. On every cross bar that the gourds hang on was
a cormorant plus many more in the water around them. A gorgeous day
for being out.
