Sorry for this late posting, too. We saw 2 Turkey Vultures over the Cap
Sante area of Anacortes last Sunday, 4/16. Some other folks were there at
the viewpoint admiring what they took to be ? funny colored eagles?. I tried
gently to persuade them the birds in question were vultures but 1 of the
ladies became indignant and said vultures only live in deserts!
We were really looking for flowers and found the following in Washington
Park ( Fidalgo Island).
Spring Gold
Few-flowered Shooting Star
Meadow Chickweed
Fawn Lily
Plectritis (Sea Blush)
Calypso Orchid
Coltsfoot
Western Bittercress
Washington Park is really at it?s peak for spring wildflowers
