I spent a lovely afternoon at the Fill. I am concerned about a Canada Goose
who has a badly broken wing. The goose is with its partner at the point
near where the snags were before they were blown down in the wind storms.
The R wing of this bird is in a very deformed position on the bird's back.
The goose keeps pecking at the wing as if to try and get it back into an
appropriate position. Other than this the goose does not seem to be
suffering but how can one really know? I imagine a wildlife rescue place
such as HOWL or Sarvey's could help this bird but how to do we get the bird
to such a place? Any advice? Connie, did you see this goose today? If so
what do you think?
