Hello Tweets,

Today at Llama Lake I had a Spotted Sandpiper and a yellowlegs (pretty sure
it was lesser). It looks like this might be a good year for the muddy banks
of Llama Lake, (located on NE 8th in Sammamish, WA, King Co.) The lake is
still very high, but is just now beginning to show a strip of mud along the
western edge, which is where I saw the spottie and the yellowlegs. I think
in a week or two it might start getting interesting! This is the place that
in years past has presented such shorebirds as Avocet and Wilson's
Phalaropes. The area around the lake has houses now, so I park around
back....there is a street just east of the lake that goes north, and you can
follow that around to the back. There is a walking trail around the lake
that as far as I can tell is open to the public.

In other news, we have had a pair of Hermit Thrushes in our backyard for a
couple of days now. That's a first for us!

Thanks!
