Location: Yakima County, Washington
It was a beautiful if somewhat blustery day for the Yakima Valley
Audubon Field Trip to the Yakama Indian Reservation and the Toppenish
National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday.
With the drought over and lots of water flowing out of Toppenish
Creek the birdibg was good.
Highlights include SANDHILL CRANE seen along Pumphouse Rd. with an
Eurasian Wigeon sitting among literally hundreds of American Wigeon.
BLACK-NECKED STILTS and LONG-BILLED CURLEW are always a treat and
WILSON'S SNIPE were winnowing everywhere.
