you might be interested to read my review of the newly
published book, Club George, that describes the
relationship between an audacious male red-winged
blackbird and a man who was downsized out of his
corporate job. This story takes place in NYC's Central
Park, so move over, Pale Male and Lola, you're not the
only famous birds here! (Pale male and Lola do make
several appearances in this book, usually to a chorus
of shrieks by the author's feathery heroes).
