Hi Tweets: On Monday, 24 April, at about 7:30 AM there appeared about 2000 Snow Geese flying very high over Anacortes heading North. Whether they were Skagit birds or from another area, who knows ? Seems late.
The single Townsend's Solitaire is still hanging around. This is now day 12. Imagine the heartache on day 5 when finding a tot of gray feathers on the window and looking out and finding the bird laying on top of the heather bush ! A quick wrap around in a hand towel and placed under a large geranium in a large flower pot helped bring him back in a hour or so. He disappeared for a couple days and it was thought he went to bird heaven but he is back and fly catching out of the Vine Maple and roosts there in the night. Bless 'em.
Good birding to all.
