Following on Janeanne's report of a Wilson's Warbler in West Seattle, I want to note that the first Orange-Crowned Warbler I've seen this season made a nice debut yesterday in Lincoln Park. It was perched clearly visibly, singing its little heart out with that sweet tail wiggle each time, at the end of a bare branch with the perfect distant background of the Olympics and Sound. Easiest ID posture I've seen in a long time, especially for a warbler! (I never seem to have my camera at the right time...)
