Subject: [Tweeters] cloudy day at the Fill: no YHB :-(

Tweets,

I took a stroll around the Montlake Fill Wednesday morning, about 10:30 to
about 12:30, in search of the pipits (no luck) and the yellow-headed
blackbird (again, no luck).

Did see a small flock of sandpipers (eight birds) nicely framed with a
killdeer for scale, and while I'm terrible at ID'ing sandpipers, I'm calling
these least, tentatively.

It seems to me we have a BUNCH of shovelers at the Fill: in years past I
remember seeing a dozen or so on any given visit, but I saw at least 30 this
time. And it wasn't until I was home again compiling a list that I realized
I hadn't seen a single mallard! I don't know if that's good or not.
