Subject: [Tweeters] Ospreys nesting at Bridle Trails plaza (Kirkland)

This afternoon while driving by the Bridle Trails shopping plaza
(corner of Old Redmond Way and 132nd Ave NE in Kirkland), I noticed a
flying raptor with an extremely ragged tail that turned out to be a
rather large bundle of sticks it was carrying.

I pulled over, did a U-turn, and watched as an osprey made several
trips to deposit sticks atop the large communications tower there.
The tower has a large platform at the top (15 feet across? --hard to
judge) and is quite tall (150 feet or more?). The osprey has built up
quite a nest already. I may have seen the mate as well.

Because of the height of the tower, it would require a scope (which I
don't have) to get good photos, and there's no vantage point that's
not a lot lower than the nest. Still it should be fun to watch developments.

Has anyone seen osprey nesting in that tower before?
