Tweets,
I received a call today from a friend who is interested in birds and she asked me if she could have seen a Snow Bunting. She was pleased when I said yes and that it was a lifer for her.
I went out and found it right where she said it was.
It is at the birdseed feeding and watering spot that Dennis Paulson made famous with his digiscoping. It is about 40 yards west of the bathrooms near the launching ramps just before the entrance to the Coast Guard Air Station. It is on the Strait side. If you cruise slowly west on the wide north side from the toilets, you will see an area where someone has been placing birdfeed and a waterdish just beyond the innermost beach log.
Today in addition to the SnBu there were lots of House Sparrows, 7 Savannahs, and two Mallards. I saw a Marbled Murrelet just beyond the jetty and one Caspian Tern cruised by.
