Today Ryan Shaw and I birded around Kent. The Black Phoebe persists near
Emerald Downs, today actively calling in the birches at the redstart corner.
At 204th Street were 4 Solitary Sandpipers and fair numbers of peeps as well
as 15 Cedar Waxwings. Kent Ponds had 15 Least Sandpipers on the edge of the
lagoon, with plenty of habitat. Another Solitary Sandpiper was in the
mudhole on 216th Street, which was loaded with other shorebirds and ducks.

Also of interest was a melanistic Northern Flicker along the Green River.
>From a distance it appeared blackish, but close up it had all the details of
a flicker, just darker. Interesting bird.

At Riverview Marsh we had a few migrants, including a Wilson's Warbler.
