Tweets,
Spent some time after work yesterday looking for
shorebirds in Kent. Bumped into Marv Breece, twice.
At 204th St, there was still sufficient water for a
few shorebirds. Western and Least Sandpipers, Lesser
Yellowlegs were seen south of 204th in the wet areas.
Plenty of Swallows overhead (VG, Barn, Cliff, Tree).
American Pipit in the portions of the field above the
water. YR Warbler in the trees.
Solitary Sandpiper and Wilson's Snipe in flooded
stumps north of 204th.
At the 216th St ponds, saw Greater and Lesser
Yellowlegs behind the fence, and some Least SP. In
the small (being restored) wetlands to the west was a
Solitary Sandpiper.
Dashed over the Boeing Ponds. 4 Greater Yellowlegs
were in the small pond to the southeast, with 3 pairs
of Northern Shovelor. A pair of Spotted Sandpiper
were in the large pond. Then I got chased off by
Boeing security.
As Marv would say, it was (still) a good day ;)
