Hi Tweets:
New sightings for the week in a Anacortes yard are as follows:
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (5)
Golden-crowned Sparrow (9)
White-crowned Sparrow (5 including 1 Gambel's)
Fox Sparrow (2 with gray mandibles)
Lincolns Sparrow
Orange-crowned, Audubon, Myrtle, Wilson's Warblers
Purple Martin
Violet-green swallows
Cowbirds (6)
Regular residents not included are pairs of Downey and Hairy woodpecker. Flickers, song Sparrow, Spotted Towhee, Robins, Crows, House Finch, Goldfinch, Chestnut-backed and Black-capped Chickadees, California Quail, Rufous Hummingbirds and regrettable E.Starlings.
The Townsend's Solitaire is still hanging around.
After we saw the Purple Martin around the yard, we drove down to the Ferry Dock to see if there was any activity. At 10 AM there was none and the good thing about it all there is no parking fee until May 1st. This morning ,Friday, we went down at 7:30 AM and there were 12 martins active and chattering away. So they are here!!

Summer is just about here.
