Found myself with most of a Friday and much of a Saturday morning to
spend checking out the Ellensburg birding scene. We began with a
couple of Gray Partridge and a small group of Yellow-headed Blackbirds
just south of Bower's Airport.

Got up to 4500 feet heading up Clockum Pass before turning back. On
the way there were 3 Long-billed Curlews, Mountain Bluebird, Vesper and
Brewer's Sparrows.

All the warblers had yellow rumps until 11 AM Saturday when I starting
running into Nashvilles.

There was lots of water and lots of snipe making lots of strange noises.

Sturnus vulgaris continues to make progress in its plan to overrun
North America.
