I missed the thread on Baiird's S. But, as I reported on <Whatcombirds at list.wwu.edu>, I saw two Baird's Sandpipers at close range at the Padden Lagoon in Bellingham last Monday, 4/24/06. There were no other shorebirds with them. They were chased away by a jealous crow that didn't like the attention I was giving them (?). The date closely matches last years dates on the""east side."
