Hi all,

Dennis Paulson is right, moving water sure brings the birds down and in. We put a small 8ft. long recirculating creek in our small back yard, and here is the list of birds that bathed in what Delia has christened ?Butyl Creek? just so far today:

Lincoln?s Sparrow
Orange-Crowned Warbler
Yellow-Rumped Warbler?both kinds, up to 6 at a time
Savannah Sparrow
NASHVILLE WARBLER
American Goldfinch
American Robin
House Sparrow
Anna?s Hummingbird
Bewick?s Wren

I got good-by-my-standards shots which are posted at http://www.ednewbold.com/whatsnew.htm

It was a nice consolation for having to leave the Shorebird Festival early.

BTW, Join the YardBirdRace or update at yardbirdrace at yahoo.com

Thanks, Ed Newbold, residential Beacon Hill, Seattle ednewbold1 at yahoo.com

PS: More power to everybody who is trying to get KMTT and Windermeer to show a little respect for the birds.
