Yesterday (Saturday) Denis DeSilvis and I were working on a project in East
Bremerton when we observed two Scrub Jays. They, along with a bunch of
American Robins, were picking insects and/or worms in a large field of
freshly turned earth.

This morning I observed about a dozen Caspian Terns in front of my home in
West Bremerton. Thinking back to a post by Mary Klein a couple weeks ago
about Caspian Terns she had seen near the ferry in Bremerton, I wonder if
they might be nesting on a roof or two at the shipyard. Several of those
buildings have flat, gravel covered roofs.
