Subject: [Tweeters] Timing of the Vaux's Swift Roosting?

Adam and Tweeters,
Last year they were in full swing between August 31 and September 3, when I
took video of them ?dropping? to roost and emerging, respectively. Someone
had posted their presence at least a few days earlier. By taking video at
1-minute intervals and counting the birds emerging for 10 seconds out of
each minute, I made quite a reliable estimate that at least 3500 (and more
likely about 4500) birds emerged on September 3. (My video only captured
birds emerging on about 2 1/2 sides of the chimney.)
