Hi tweets,
Last summer, some of you may have heard about the Least Bell's Vireos that were found nesting in the Central Valley for the first recorded time since 1919. I was working at the San Joaquin River NWR when the birds were found, and was fortunate to be allowed to see them. Well, it turns out that they are back again this year, and nesting again! Here's the article for any who wish to check it out. Link includes photos of the nest w/eggs, and the habitat to which these birds have returned. Just goes to show that restoration, when done right, can work!
