Subject: [Tweeters] North Cascades Ptarmigan

Hi tweeters,

On Tuesday 8/1 I found a female WHITE-TAILED PTARMIGAN
with three young about 0.5 miles below Sahale Glacier
on Sahale Arm in North Cascades National Park. This is
a 5 mile hike from the Cascade Pass trailhead at the
end of Cascade Creek Rd.

Also, for those keeping track, on the evening of 8/2
there were 5 Common Nighthawks above the town of
Glacier on Hwy 542 in Whatcom County.

Good birding,

Sam Terry
Seattle
