18 new photos taken yesterday (well, technically since it's after midnight,
two days ago) at the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve located in East Sussex, UK,
are now on display in the Photos of the Month gallery... The Reserve is
internationally-known and covers some 1800 acres... Yellow Wagtails,
Eurasian Coots, Common Moorhens, Sandwich Terns, Common Sandpiper, Great
Cormorants, and Ringed Plovers are among the birds included...

Also seen: Curlews, Golden Plovers, Common Shelducks, Ruddy Ducks, Northern
Shovelers, a Lapwing, Linnets, Herring Gulls, Black-headed Gulls, one dozen
Canada Geese, a Water Rail (someone in the blind spotted it at the end of
the scope's visual range), and much more... Even in early August, it can be
as busy as the Sandwich Terns feeding their fledglings...

One of the better websites that updates regularly the happenings of the
Reserve is http://rxwildlife.org.uk/category/rye-harbour-nature-reserve/ ...

Hope you enjoy :)
