Subject: [Tweeters] Olive-Sided Calls

I was working outdoors in our yard yesterday accompanied by the
?Pip-Pip-Pip? calls of an Olive-sided Flycatcher. It called incessantly for
2 hours in the morning and about an hour and a quarter in the afternoon. I
tallied 25 series of ?Pip? calls in one minute with 21 being 3 notes and 4
with only 2 ? Pips?. That makes 71 individual notes in 1 minute! I heard
the actual song only a few times early in the morning.
Had our first Woodland Skipper ( a butterfly sp.) of the year in the yard
today.
