Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

On August 3 a COMMON GROUND-DOVE was photographed near Cape Blanco. It could
not be relocated the next day.

Passerine migrations are now under way. On August 5 a mixed migrant flock on
Cascade Head contained at least 12 HERMIT WARBLERS. Migrant hawks are also
on the move and are being reported mostly through the lowlands.

On August 8 a BOBOLINK was on the North Spit of Coos Bay. A BAIRD?S
SANDPIPER, and a LONG-BILLED CURLEW were among the shorebirds gathered
August 7 at Ankeny NWR. Up to seven TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS, 50 GREATER
YELLOWLEGS, three SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS, a BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, and a
LONG-BILLED CURLEW were reported during the week from Fern Ridge Reservoir.
A flock of 12 NIGHTHAWKS was seen August 6 near Elmira west of Fern Ridge
Reservoir.

Thats it for this week.
