The Sunday Bird Walk went to the Englishman River Estuary, Plummer Road side
in Parksville. Fourteen birders found the following thirty-one species:

Saturday August 12:
A PEREGRINE FALCON was seen along Littleford Road in the Uplands area of
Nanaimo.
A STELLER'S JAY was seen at feeders along Honeysuckle Terrace in Nanaimo.

Monday August 07:
A PEREGRINE FALCON was spotted on tree tops along Calder Road in Nanaimo
A pair of PILEATED WOODPECKERS were spotted along Louise Road in Nanaimo.

Saturday August 05:
Twenty AMERICAN GOLDFINCH were seen coming to feeders along Superior Road
in Lower Lantzville.

Friday August 04:
A HYBRID SNOW GOOSE/CANADA GOOSE was seen at Jack's Point Park in south
Nanaimo.
Some possible PINE SISKINS were seen along Schooners Cove in Nanoose Bay.

Thursday August 03:
One ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD was seen along Forest Crescent in Nanaimo
Wednesday August 02:
One MERLIN, over ten BEWICK'S WRENS, small flocks of LEAST and WESTERN
SANDPIPERS, one PIGEON GUILLEMOT, four BONAPART'S GULLS and over 250
NORTHWESTERN CROWS were seen at the Englishman River Estuary in Parksville.
Twenty WESTERN SANDPIPERS, six SEMI-PALMATED SANDPIPERS and eight LEAST
SANDPIPERS were spotted feeding on the mud-flats at the Holden Creek side of
the Nanaimo River Estuary in south Nanaimo.
AMERICAN GOLDFINCH, BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK and HOUSE FINCH are visiting
feeders in the 200 block of Dawkins Lane in Nanaimo.
Eight pair of WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS and AMERICAN GOLDFINCH are visiting
feeders in the 300 block of Park Ridge Place in Qualicum Beach.
A BULLOCK'S ORIOLE was seen at a suet feeder in the 6900 block of Lancewood
Avenue in Lantzville.

Monday July 31:
A HOUSE WREN was seen at Somenos Marsh in Duncan.
Sunday July 30:

A SANDHILL CRANE was seen over Legacy Marsh in upper Lantzville.
