For whatever reason, I can't get Caren's article to display or play...but
just to say that the last time I really birded the Chesapeake in May 2004,
the Ospreys were incredibly evident. There were many more than when last I
had been there, a mere 4 years earlier. They were numerous all along the
Yprk River, as well. They did not seem to be in any trouble in 2000, but the
numbers certainly seemed higher in 2004.
